Aurore Gaubert

1945 - 2023

Aurore Gaubert was born August 2, 1945 in Jeremie Haiti at “Saint Antoine’s hospital to parents, Raoul Gaubert (deceased) and Ena Auguste (deceased) she was the oldest of six siblings.

She spent the earlier part of her life in Haiti, where she loved spending time with family and friends. She went to “Ecole Les Soeurs De La Sagesse” for primary school where she excelled. Aurore was beloved by all and had the kindest of hearts and a spirit that was larger than life. She enjoyed fashion and always made sure to be stylish and well put together; earning her the nickname of “ La Belle Aurore” in her town of Jeremie.

Aurore went to College Alain Clerie and then moved to Port-au-Prince to continue her education. As a young woman Aurore loved going to social gatherings, sporting events, and dances.

In 1982 Aurore moved to America where she joined her sister Nancy and her children.  Aurore loved her nephew, Junior and her nieces. Ronalande, Rosemay, and Sorrente dearly and acted as a second mom to them. She would take them to parks, out for ice cream, and to Six Flags.

In 1984 she met the charismatic Walther Guerrier (deceased). They develop a friendship which eventually lead to Romance. And on September 8th, 1989 they both welcomed their daughter Cassandre Gaubert.

Aurore loved Cassandre more than words could truly express. She was a loving and devoted mother till the end.

She spent her later years working for NY state at the OPD where she retired in 2015.

Aurore Gaubert was full of life right till the end. Just a few days before her untimely passing she was dancing, laughing and carrying on.  As we reflect on the life of Aurore there are a few things that come to mind like her eyes, her smile, her infectious laugh, but most importantly, her heart! She loved so freely and had the ability to bring people together. She saw the best in everyone, and made those who had the good fortune to be in her presence feel loved, safe and seen.

Aurore is survived by her only child Cassandre Gaubert, her siblings Nancy,Rostand,Nobel,Joconde, and Yvrose as well as her nieces and nephew, cousins, family and friends.

It deeply hurts our heart to have such an untimely goodbye.

You will forever be in our hearts. We love you Aurore.

Rest in eternal peace our guardian angel Auore Gaubert

Till we meet again.
